not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

Here is the emphatic declaration that God creates all through Mind, not through matter, —
that the plant grows, not because of seed or soil, but because growth is the eternal man–
of Mind. Mor‐ tal thought drops into the ground, but the immortal creating thought is
from above, not from beneath. Because Mind makes all, there is nothing left to be made
