While living at Fern Lodge, patients are provided with three meals each day. Our kitchen staff serve a variety of delicious and nutritious meals. Breakfast is served from the smaller breakfast kitchen and lunch and dinner are served from the main kitchen.
We do one-on-one consulting with patients and their families to tailor meals that are appropriate for each person’s individual needs. We also survey patients for personal food likes and dislikes and we maintain a database of food preferences and strive to honor them at every meal. We offer alternate meals and take special requests because having the ability to choose for one’s self is important to a patient’s sense of independence. We are committed to providing delicious meals and most all our foods are prepared in-house. We believe the extra care we take in our food service work translates into a more normal, home-like dining experience for those who live here.
