Fern Lodge has a new Director of Music Ministry!

London-based composer and performer Andrew Brewis will be sharing his talents with Fern Lodge beginning in May. Andrew will join us for several weeks each year — providing live performances, working closely with staff members to further integrate music into our healing ministry, and offering educational sessions to deepen understanding of how music can be used as a tool for spiritual uplift and healing. 

Andrew also plans to travel beyond the San Francisco Bay Area, acting as an ambassador for Fern Lodge, performing and conducting workshops on inspirational music ministry. 

“The more I write,” Andrew explains, “the more I discover how music can spiritually prod and poke us: stirring, awakening, and ultimately healing. It brings me blessings every day, and I love few things more than being able to share these melodies, harmonies, and healing messages with anyone who will listen.”

A pianist and singer-songwriter with over 35 years of professional experience, Andrew has conducted workshops on songwriting, composing, and inspirational music ministry at spiritual summits in Birmingham, UK; Johannesburg, South Africa; Boston, MA; and Principia College. 

Eight of Andrew’s hymns are featured in the expanded Christian Science Hymnal, and he has composed multiple solos used at branch churches throughout the world. Andrew has released over ten CD compilations of original Christian Science music and has presented inspirational concerts in London, Paris, Berlin, and beyond.
