“Royal Sunset” rose just starting to bloom
What could be lovelier than deep purple blooms of Clematis viticella “Polish Spirit” growing with the fragrant golden-apricot flowers of the old French Noisette rose, “Crepescule?”
Though small & simple, it’s fun to include a few of the flower arrangements that end up gracing the Fern Lodge breakfast tables — in this case, various yellow roses picked from inside the deer fenced garden, along with the beautiful blooms of Penstemon “Blue Springs”…
What better use for an aqua-colored martini glass than to fill it with some peach-colored roses! This makes a fantastic vase — and to think that I bought it at THRIFT TOWN for only $1.99!!!
Foxglove, Clematis, Penstemon, and lots of roses greet Mother’s Day visitors to Fern Lodge at the front desk.
It’s fun to burrow an arrangement from indoors and take it outdoors while having lunch on the patio!
